July '09 brought Phill to Los Angeles to record on Beth Rohde's debut release arranged by Matt Rohde(American Idol asst. music director, Dave Koz, Allonis Morrisette, countless others), along with LA heavyweights Walfredo Reyes Jr.(Carlos Santana, Lindsey Buckingham, Tania Maria) on drums and sax ace Dave Sills.
Upon returning to Florida, Phill Fest is curently plaing with his quartet at the Firerock restaurant every Saturday in downtown West Palm Beach.
South Florida brazilian radio darling, Gina Martell (15 yrs on love 94 smooth Jazz), summoned Phill to compose the theme song for her new radio program 'Brazil and More' wxel 90.7. "Gina's Martell Website". Gina Martell's brazilian jazz program can be heard every Sunday from 5-7pm. Phill Fest Glen Reifsteck compositions 'Birthday Samba ' and 'Partido' from Phill Fest "Smooth Edges" Cd are on rotation.
